Discuss LadyDarko E.'s answer to: The same country that requires safety helmets and carseats for children won't pass laws regulating the purchase of guns? Why is that?

It would behove you to read the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and to also read the history of these documents and why they said what they said.

You see our forefathers feared that someday, someway there would be people in political seats of power that would attempt to take away all that was fought for and they understood the nature of humanbeings when they become powerful so to protect us from TRYANNY they instituted the 2nd Amendment. It was to protect us from our own government which might go astray as today.

Criminals will always get guns. Look to history. What was the first thing Hitler, Stalin, Lenin and others did? What has Chavez and other Dictators done along with Castro in his day? They stripped citizens of their guns or weapons because without them all people are helpless and let us just look around the world today at the slaughter going in, Syria best example the people are not armed and being slaughtered by their Dictator. Children/women/babies/men/women/old/young/inbetween because they can not defend themselves.

Millions upon millions of lives have been lost throughout history due to the people not being armed. They have been crucified, burned, torn to pieces, raped you name it and all because they did not know how to defend themselves or had their means of self preservation stripped from them.

How easy for you to say what you have but what about you personally????????????????? What if you and your family and your children were threatened???????????? What if someone entered your home, raped you, killed your family because you were so easy to murder? Would you not want a weapon??????????\

How great a country do we live in that at this time we are not sheep to the slaughter and have the right to bear arms.

You think on it, you put yourself and your children and your family in the place of the Syrians, Iraqis', Iranians, Lebanese, Egyptian Christians and Copts, Africans and you decide think outside your safe box.

Good Lord in Heaven release me from this ignorance.

So you right wing nut jobs think that a bunch of rednecks with guns are going to put up a fight against the United States military. If Vegas puts out odds it would be a trillion to 1 for the United States military. Every normal thinking person knows the rednecks wouldn't have a chance. Bernard McCaunaghy exactly and we see their petty spitting nonsense with Joe Biden and his immitation of a Black man saying Romney will put them in chains again.

It will only get worse. I believe if anything has been highjacked it is the Democratic party by the Progressives who are in Congress and the Senate of which Obama, Reid, Pelosi and many others are and have claimed to be along with Hillary Clinton. The Progressives were against the Constitution from the getgo and they continue to be today as we see with Obama.

Unfortunately they will get worse before they get better they waited too long for this opportunity to "Change" America into a Socialistic country. People are too ignorant of history to even realize that the slogans "Change" and "Forward" have been used by Communists and Socialists from the start when talking to the peasants.

Bernard the average Joe in this country does not even know what the meaning of Socialism and Communism is and nobody is pointing it out to them. If they did they would be as frightened as the rest of us.

We do know what the Nazi republican party wants us to do. Go back to what life was before the new deal and to when we basicly had to classes of people. The rich and the poor. The republicans are the party of the rich and want to put everyone in chains. That would keep wages and their taxes low. You right wing social conservative single issue voters should read your history. The problem is you uneducated idiots can not understand what you read if it doesn't involve hate.
