I would use the oven roasting bags with spices right in it. Can't go wrong.

Do all grocery stores have them....are there certain ones I should get ?

How long and what temperature for the oven setting ...desired cooking to be rare ?

Thanking you in advance

Do not put a ribeye roast in a cooking bag.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

season roast as desired I use garlic salt and pepper

Place roast in a shallow pan and cook at 400 degrees for 30 minutes

Turn oven to 325 and roast another 1.5 hour for rare

Perhaps answer below is better? I like the bag as it keeps the juices in. Most markets carry them in the seasoning aisle with the directions on the bag.
