Cookbooks. I do read the recipe section in my local newspaper, but it's not as good as it used to be, so I don't save it as much as I used to.

I have tried a few recipes from online sites, but I find that the ratings don't always match with my opinion of the item. Plus, I like to flip through my cookbooks and combine bits and pieces of various recipes to make an entirely different dish, and it's difficult to do that with an online recipe.

My daughter swears by www.supercook.com though; she likes its feature of being able to type in a list of ingredients so you can be shown possible recipes based on the contents of your larder. Whatever works!

I used to have a couple of wonderful cookbooks, but lost them. I know how to cook everything I like, but when I want to try something new, I look up recipes on the net. No particular website as I like to read several recipes to find the one that sounds best to me. Wish I had my old cookbooks though.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

I had about close to 75/100 books at one time, but pretty much all were Donated, or given away, only the very intricate types of cooking, but most of the cooking is done by the way I learned, to watch, the Spanish foods I watched the maids, the Italian, my Aunt and cousins, Southern, most of the family is still in the South... Have in the West..,

I use both. I have several cookbooks with several tried an true recipes, but have also downloaded and printed hundreds off the internet that have turned out to be just as good. I made my own cookbook of recipes gotten off line and I use them frequently. Another perk of online recipes is how to do videos. Love that aspect. For some reason it sticks with you longer if you can see how it is done and should look when finished.

I buy my own cookbook. Laughing

I like to pore over cookbooks. Well, salivate is more like it. But I also use the internet for a quick look up on recipes and how-to videos.
