Contestants on the Apprentice make $16,000 for three weeks on the show. If they stay another three weeks, they get another $16,000. Filming is done daily however so several weeks worth of airing is actually done in a much shorter time. The winner however gets a job with "The Donald". Many of the contestants are hired by companies once they are "fired" from the show. They get national attention in a way no interview can match so it's usually pretty good to be a contestant.
