What direction are the thousands of tons of water from the damaged nuclear power plant in Japan that were dumped into the Pacific Ocean heading?

From what I had heard on a News/Media Show that with the Tides, whole houses and other debre, will reach our West Coast in about 1O Years.. the salmon are something that they worry of too..
