Contacts Stolen in aol.com

Someone hacked my aol.com account a few weeks ago.  I have changed the password, etc., but it appears not only did the hacker steal my contact list, but deleted it as well.  Is there a way to retrieve my contact list?  I've had aol for almost 20 years...help!!!!!!!!!!!!
