Door squeak is an AOL buddy sound for a buddy arriving; door slam is for a buddy leaving. You can turn them off at Settings, Sounds, IM.

From the AOL toolbar, click on Settings. You may need to click on Settings A-Z. Then click on Sounds, IM. Then turn off buddy sounds.
