Creating a fan page on Facebook is a good way to advertise your website and or business. Has anyone had any success with using Facebook for advertising?

I have a page for most of my sites and it is not bad so far. The number of fans is growing but I guess there is not much direct traffic from them.

I've had good success with Pay-Per-Click on Facebook to targeted groups. I like that you can include an image and really target your audience.

A fan page on facebook is excellent for viral marketing, especially if you have a lot of friends on facebook. Also, facebook groups are also good for that.

Facebook page and Twitter account can really boost your site's visitors number. I'm not sure which of the two are more efficient but I do know that it depends on what the site is about.

That's true. Many internet marketers admit that social networking sites are one of the best place to promote their websites/business. I haven't tried it myself though as I don't have a business which need massive promotion.

Facebook is a social networking site where many people visit to it everyday. In fact Facebook now is the number site in as far as number daily visitors is concerned. Creating a fan page for your website or business in Facebook is a very good idea. It only requires patience for the result.

I agree with the fan page as a good source to generate traffic to your site or for advertising but main thing is converting the fans to sales.
