My computer only has an ethernet connection.  What kind of modem do I need to connect to the internet via AOL dial up service?  Do I need to install an internal modem into my computer or is there a specific external modem that I can connect my phone line to and then connect to my computer?...HELP

You can check about some kind of this port on your computer back side ( http://km.support.apple.com/library/APPLE/APPLECARE_ALLGEOS/TS1853/106748_1.gif ). This is a modem port.

If your computer has no any port like that, then you should buy a PCI modem card ( http://www.pacificgeek.com/productimages/xl/F-1156IVR9F.jpg ) for your computer. With the help of this you can connection internt.

 I have a Siemens 4100 yhat works great and only the ethernet is hooked to my computer. At & T sells them.
