What type of computers are capable of being hooked up to a tv that is HDMI, in other words can any computer provided it has a certain type of connection?
Most modern computers with a good graphics card has a connection called DVI.
HDMI is basically DVI + Sound.
You can get a cable that hooks up to HDMI from one side and DVI from the other side. This cable, however, won't send sound so you will have to hook your sound card output to your TV's speaker or other external speakers.

You can get a cable that hooks up to a USB to HDMI Adapter from one side and DVI from the other side. This cable, however, won't send sound so you will have to hook your sound card output to your TV's speaker or other external speakers. You know the TV USB to HDMI Adapter allows you to connect an extra monitor (CRT,LCD,Projector..)to your desktop PC or laptop’s USB port. The connected monitor can be configured to either clone your primary screen or extend the Windows desktop allowing visibility of more applications at the same time.
To hook computers to tv all you need is hdmi splitter rest all the latest computers would work fine.
