Right on the day of 911 the christians already started calling gays the F-Word while they was calling atheists homos.

Is that how the native americans see it as well? Did you just group the atheists and gays together as one? And here I thought I was being left out by the native americans for once.

So tell me...! Was you in your own frame of mind during that time? Or did you just fall into the trend with the christians?

Thats more or less the question I have. Why was gays a threat to the native americans during 911? Or did they just fall into the stuggle the christians had already started with the gays during that time?

While the atheists were always kind of a threat to the native americans a lot more than athesits are towards christians while thats kind of normal isn't it?

What wars? My people never started wars. Hipi'tuh Shinumu, the fill name of my tribe, means people of peace all together. We never fought. We are the only tribe that was never moved from our native land. Though the government did give some of it to the Navaho. This starting centuries of ill feeling between the two tribes, despite the fact that we're very similar. I'm not responsible for what other tribes may do or have done. Nor am I responsible for what other Pagans may have done. I can only speak for myself, and I'm like no one else alive. Or dead for that matter.

Gay marriage was not the struggle they were having during 911 - They were in their way. Although gay marriage did become the struggle soon there after.

A good many gays are peace activists. Would they have been in your way with the wars you started soon there after as well?

You may be now to some degree, but what was up with the struggle christians and native americans took on with gays during 911?

Perhaps one of the reasons atheists come off as ignorant to you is because they are not up to speed due to unanswerd questions that were never answerd to this day.

We Indians have always valued our gay members as equal members of the tribe. In my tribe, the Hopi, and in many other tribes, the gays have a special part in the ceremonies. They're called the backward people. They dress as clowns and generally create mirth and laughter during the ceremonies and dances. They play a valuable part in the life of the tribe. We've never had any sense that there was anything wrong about them. We've just always known there were people who are born that way and that that accident of birth has absolutely nothing to do with their value as human beings or with their value and particiopation in our religious ceremonies and rituals.

And no, I'm not like a lot of Pagans. But you have to realize that, just as Christianity has many differing sects, so do Pagans have many different sects. Not all of which i like or agree with. I call myself a Pagan because I worship the Goddess, but my beliefs also have a great deal from my native religion, from Buddhism, Taoism. I even have a lot of beliefs in common with Christians. Just because I may not be a Christian doesn't mean that i don't feel it has very valuable principles to teach us. Most religions have good principles, and I believe in learning from anyone I can.

Though it does amuse the heck out of me when we Pagans are accused of being Satanists, as our beliefs have no Satan and no hell. And Christians don't even realize that their Satan (Shaitan) was invented originally by Muslims. Or that their sacred symbol of the cross was stolen from the Celts - Pagans, who created the Celtic cross. When the church was attempting to destroy Paganism, an action which obviously didn't work, they stole our symbols, our holidays and our celebrations, even some of our dieties. Holy Mary is nothing but the Goddess disguised. It wasn't done maliciously. The Christians wanted to draw Pagans into becoming Christians, so they used our symbols and holidays and dieties because they thought that this action would make Pagans more comfortable in their churches. Which were often built on our own sacred lands and on the foundations of our own churches.

Me, I've never understood what the hell it is people are so afraid of when it comes to gay marriage. What do they think is going to happen?

No one is trying to force anything down this guys throat. He just didn't learn his lesson and needs to be tought.

As I said before, atheists are more into civil rights these days. They are also more conected to the pagans that migrated to the state of Washinton than Bones is by far. During 911 a conection with the gay pagans was also found. While christians were being tought about tolerence during that time, the native americans were being tought about their culture with gays before the white man came to the US. While christians and native americans were being tought a lesson it was not only atheists, but the rest of the public that gay marrige be introduced in this Country.
