I got a couple of answers to my question about fear of a colonoscopy. I had a lot of dental work done a couple of years ago which scared me to death. I,m talking 3 root canals and 2 teeth pulled and ever since then I,ve been afraid of everything. Do you think that,s why I,m so afraid of a colonoscopy. I mean I,m terrified. What can I do?

Yes it probaly was,,,,, but beleive, we all told you the truth in our answers.........If someone ask me if i wanted to go to the dentist or go get a colonosapy done " you know what i would say. Your right of couse " no no no dentist "

Nothing to a colonoscopy. You prep for one day, that is the hardest. go in as an outpatient, given an IV to put you to sleep, wake up and it is over, no pain, nothing. Better than having colon cancer. My Dad died of it and I get a colonoscopy every 5 yrs. No biggy!
