I'm not sure I understand your question, but G00 is PTP. It just means go from where you are to the next point, without controling the path. Since the 1970's all CNC's travel on a 45 degee angle during PTP. In G01 mode the CNC will make the machine travel a straight line between the two points. Canned cycles like drilling, G81, will go PTP.

Is your question is about finding the specific point in the slope or you want to look for the points in the quadrant?
