Making it 50 years together is a significant achievement.For your Golden Anniversary you can have some gold accessories or anything else in Gold. Of course the etiquettes decide what would be best and how you'd like to celebrate.Perhaps you could wear something which also reminds you of what you wore for your marriage.

Check with the hostess. Is it an informal affair, out doors/indoors. Is it in a rented location, a church, restaraunt, a family home or community center. Certainly two people are in celebration of 50 years of marriage, are going to be honored with respect and class. I recommend ladies and gentlemen, no Jeans unless it is hosted casual blue jean event. Ladies a skirt and blouse with jacket, seasonal colors low slung pump and matching handbag, minimal jewelry. Men, at a minimum slacks dark gray or navy, button down shirt, bolo tie acceptable with a sport jacket no athletic shoes. shave, tuck it in, wear a belt and matching shoes, dont smoke or swear, and both of you show your admiration. Its their day.
