Not here. Why they don't re open them I don't know, but my guess is they got real bad and they got tired of monitoring it and shut it down.

Don't bring them here. We had a nice little place here until AOL dumped all these disgruntled people on us.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

It is good for the terrorist governments of USA and Israel.   At least they managed to have a lot of control over free speech.

I don't think AOL can be blamed for the demise of the boards. They couldn't be expected to completely police what was going on with grown people. I was suggesting that this format could be used in a more message board way if people really wanted to. You can create topics and follow them easily. It's not so easy to stalk and harass now which may be a good thing. AOL has always offered  great products and formats and did bring the boards back due to popular demand back in 2009 but did the patrons do them justice?

The boards got nasty and ugly beyond belief. Grown people attacking each other (and who were strangers, to boot) in the most vile ways. If they couldn't be monitored properly, they needed to go.
