Back to question Answer 1 of 1

It seems like after the series premier of Major Crimes, most of the cast will not reappear.  Be good if TNT owned up to it.  The only ones who are listed in episodes past the premier are Buzz, the IT tech and Dr Morales, the coroner.

that's not true.  most of the closer cast is continuing on into the new show. Also, Michael Weatherly from NCIS fame is going to be in a recurring role which makes it very interesting. The information I have seen says that most of The Closers ensemble cast has signed onto Major Crimes at least for the first year.

Here is a direct quote from an article listing which actors will be go forward on to Major Crimes:

"Joining McDonnell will be G.W. Bailey (Provenza), Tony Denison (Flynn), Michael Paul Chan (Tao), Raymond Cruz (Sanchez) and Phillip P. Keene (Buzz). Jon Tenney (Fritz) and Robert Gossett (Commander Taylor, who will be getting a promotion) will make guest appearances.

J.K. Simmons, Corey Reynolds and, of course, Kyra Sedgwick won’t be moving to the new show."

So, there is no truth to the information that Flynn, Provenza, et al will disappear after the pilot.

I, for one, can't wait for the new show.

I'm interested in the new series.  But this indicates it will not feature much of "The Closer" cast...
