How do I clean
use a wet cloth first... then use some disinfectant wash, and then use the wet cloth again. As long as you have disinfected the area, that's the most important part. I'm not sure if you're talking about the mattress itself or the mattress cover. If it's the cover, you can throw it into the laundry with some special spot remover, plus laundry detergent. If you're talking about the mattress itself, then you need to just scrub with some good products you can pick up from any grocery store.
You can wipe off with the disinfectant but still will not help completely, sun dry for a whole day to remove the smell.
This is the best you can do.
Remove excess urine first with a clean cloth. Mix an anti bacterial detergent with warm water and dampen another clean cloth using this solution. Wipe the affected area with the cloth. Sprinkle baking soda on the area and let it stay there for an hour. Vacuum it after. Check out http://www.bestmattressreviews.com because they have lots of cleaning tips.
Oh, that is not fun! I've been there before and you just want to throw the whole thing out but you can't. Too expensive. The key thing is to clean the stain as soon as you can and don't let the interior of the mattress become soaked. Here's a resource on how to clean a mattress . They have some really clear instructions and good tips, even a video demonstration. Best of luck!
