What would be a better way to heat a your house for a person with allergies? A pellet stove or an outdoor wood burning stove? I guess what I'm asking is what is the 'cleaner' way to heat your house? thanks.
All heating systems that use flame should have the air it heats separated from the air it uses to burn fuel. The air used for burning should exhaust out the chimney if you don't have a problem. The fuel or location should not affect air quality. If you're allergic to smoke or soot, you could try electric heat. Natural gas has almost no byproducts beyond carbon dioxide and water vapor.
Probably electric heater \ air condition.
Pellet stoves burn up far more particulates than conventional wood stoves so, to answer your question, a pellet stove would be better.
