Hello, Clarence E. Trano was my Great Grandfather, He was an amazing Artist, he did oil paintings, etchings and drawings, he was good friends with Charlie Russell, They spent alot on time together in Montana at Glacier National Park, We have a picture of Clarence at 18 years old cutting Charlie Russel Hair around a campfire... We have hundreds of items that Carence did. He was well known in his day, he did many portraits of movie stars. Most of his work was lost for 40 years, until my mother found dozens of boxes in the attic of my grandmothers house, it was an amazing find... there were hundreds of original works, copper etchings, wood etchings, portriats, etc.. Clarences Daughter, Pearl just passed away about 5 years ago... she was full of stories about her dad... Hope you enjoy the picture, hang on to it, a few years back the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum in Cody Wyoming wanted us to donate Clarence's Collection to the Museum... That museum holds alot of the art work of Charlie Russell... But we decided to go ahead and keep it in the family for now... It was nice seeing your interest...
