Something that reflects their faith would be a good choice.  Ideas are a cross necklace, a rosary if they are Roman Catholic, a special Bible if they don't have one, a Christian wall hanging, and other items you could find in a Christian book store.  Before buying anything I would check with the parents to see what they have and what they may like.  I hope this helps.
