Nothing has changed. It's still believing in Jesus Christ. We just need to understand that believing in Jesus is more than an intelectual belief about Jesus, It's believing about Him and desireing the salvation He provides to the point we give up our sinful desires (Repent) and by faith commit to Him as Lord and Savior. All who have sincerely done this know it to be true. There is one true God who is everlasting and we can never become him, but we can accept His gift of Salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. His plan is always open. It's up to ever one whether to accept or reject. God bless.

Bob Suffolk Thinks this answer is Helpful:

We start the long journey to spiritual awakening by that first act of repentance.  We have to know inwardly that there is something more than atheists will allow people to understand.  Atheists are that limiting.

When we know, and decide to get right with God, then God guides us along that path to self-discovery.  That path always begins in Church.  The thing is, the path never ends until we stand before God, and He decides on us.

Faith is the remedy.  Without it we are not so much as human.

When we stand before Jesus at the final judgment, the decision has already been made. Jesus Christ paid our sin debt when He was crucified and in so doing gave us the choice to accept or reject His plan of salvation. We accept by makeing a conscious decision to give up our sinful desires,(Repent) and by faith commit to His Lordship. If we do this our salvation is immediate and for eternity. God bless.
