Chow dog chewing at skin

chow dogs my dog is itchng so bad that he broke the skin on his tail only, he has it bleeding and puss comimg out ,i cut the hair around the area  and put neosporin on it and wraped it up with a ace bandage, i feel so sorry for him and i dont have the money to take him to the vet. also given him benendrill to help for the itching.please any help is appreciated, thamk you

Take him to the vet to be checked for mange or any other skin problems. Mange can be quite serious and needs to be treated as soon as possible.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.
