How do you choose your reading materials?
I choose my reading material by reviews of the book.
Like LDE said, I Love the Classics..
Usually I go for books from authors I know, but I do sometimes choose from the best sellers list if the book is of my interest.
I try to combine my personal taste alongside the best sellers list. Usually it works just fine for me.
I have favorite authors I follow so I look for them first to see if they have anything new or I haven't read out. Weather or not they are on the best sellers list. (they most usually are though) I will sometimes start at the best sellers list when i'm looking for something or some author that's new to me. I'll read the back cover for the discription of the story inside. And then I'll read the first page to see if the authors wording flow the way I like. Then I'll take it or leave it. I do this with both paperback and hard cover books.___=^..^=___Kittie
No I tend to search out libraries, second hand bookstores and start out on various authors, some of whom I discard after a few pages and some who I have followed everything they have published (examples of the later catergorie include Terry pratchett ((to recent times at least cos I suspect he is in the milking the fame stage)) Brian jacques, a lot of the classics and ancient writers Herodotus, tacticus, though I am not so fond of the eighteenth century writers simply because I am not a fan of baroque and elegant writing styles. Im simply a voracious reader but Im not a fan of best sellers
They are mostly ones that I am recommended..
i take books after reading the intro of the book.
