How do you choose your reading materials?

Some with authors I know and will read anything they right. Most, I read the synopsis on the back and if it sounds interesting I'll give it a try. I read in a very wide range of genres, but most of my reading is science fiction, fantasy, horror and mystery.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.
