I recently called CPS regarding my ex-husbands ...

I recently called CPS regarding my ex-husbands relationship w/our son who is 12. I believe our son ma be in danger. CPS has to conduct an interview w/my son before visiting the ex's house. I'm not sure what to tell our son about why/who cps is and why are they speaking w/him. I want to be homest w/him but don't want to scare him or have him tip off my ex by mentioning it.

Explain to him that these are some people who want to talk to him to make sure he's safe and happy. Tell him to answer any questions they ask truthfully and DO NOT say anything to the effect" These people want to make sure Daddy isn't hurting you." or include your husband in anything.

Becareful C.P.S. is not what its all cracked up to be. Most likley they will take the child from both of you.
