nonprofit organization financial disclosure

Where can I find a list of non-profit organization's financial disclosure that shows how much goes to the charity, how much goes for administration and how much goes to fund raising?  I contribute to a lot of charities, and have decided to check this out and thin my ranks of those I contribute to.

Hello.  You can get a copy of the lastest financial statements or annual reports directly from the charity.  Most will say to submit your request in writing and they will supply the address. If you signed up to receive mailings from the organizations, such as newsletters, and you donate to them I would imagine that as a regular contributor you would be on the list to receive their annual report.  If not, you can still request one.  Hope this helps.

Go to GuideStar, they are a watch dog for charities and you can even print out the last income tax return.
