Strangly I cannot find any reference to him online. I can see from the picture that you posted of one of his paintings that you have the name correct. The only thing that I can think of is to see if you can find any books in reference to him at the library or maybe to ask the art department of one of the local universities or art schools.

i have also looked for this artist. i have a pencil of "germain de charonne". have had for several years picked up at a swap meet. would also like to find out something about this.
