I have to answer with a question. What possibly motivates any intelligent person to believe in any of that stuff?

Bored people are boring.

Hi,

The header is different from the question (the header says converting from christianity to Judaism, and the question is the other way round).  People convert from one religion to another for many reasons.  Objective reasons "they found the truth" or "Dissapointed from their old religion".  Or subjective: Going after their love, compensate (a famous actress converted to Judaism willig to compensate to people of Israel for what the German people did at WW2).
Best regards,
Love is the battery of life....

Perhaps in order to really understand the practise and true religion of one of history's most influential. misunderstood, misquoted, and enigmatic characters- who just happened to be Jewish....hello???

Since both Judaism and Christianity believe in the same things, YHWH, Yeshua and the Holy Spirit, someone does not convert from one to the other. Jews who accept Yeshua as the Messiah have not converted to a new religon, but are just completeing the circle of the religon they have. Please escuse me calling Judaism and Chirtianity a religon, they are not, they are of way of life.

Tell it like it is.

Judaism is not a conversion. It is a BLOODLINE from the tribe of Shem. Many people who have been dispersed in the diaspora do not even KNOW that they belong to the 12 tribes. These people are not "converting" but rather returning to their true roots and the truth.

To respond to the first question: finding Jesus to be the Messiah is both the motivation and reason. Jews await the coming of the Messiah, when any find that Jesus is the true Messiah, they have fulfilled their spiritual desire for salvation and oneness with God.  Look here for more on this: http://www.jews-for-jesus.org

To respond to the second question (Witheringspoon): Intelligence and faith.

As said before: "I'd rather have Jesus and not need Him, than to need Jesus and not have Him"!
