I am changing my first name. Should I go with Gena or Geena? Both names are pronounced "gee-nah". I don't want to choose Gina because it reminds me of va-gina, and I don't want to get teased. I am 21 by the way.
Also, if I choose Gena, do you guys think people will mispronounce it as "jenna"?
Unless you pronounce it as in va-gina, no one's going to tease you. If you choose Gena, some people may pronounce it as jenna. But why is that a big deal? All you do is correct them. But why change your name? Do you hate your name or something?
If you are 21 and the people you associate with are rhyming your name with vagina, you need to hang with a different crowd. Most intelligent people stop nonsense like that when they grow up.
Geena would be less confusing than Gena. Gina is more common.
