This web site lists the ENERGY STAR central air conditioners manufactures. They have a higher seasonal efficiency rating (SEER) than standard models, which makes them about 14% more efficient than standard models. I would buy from one of these companies.

Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?
