I know of places that can engrave on marble, (laser)but as with that, the rock would have to be flat.  You'd have to have it custom made.  There is a place in Springfield, OH..Custom Laser Engraving.  I don't know where you are.,,

been there wish I'd done that

It depends on how much money you want to spend and what you want on it!  And does it have to be a "true" rock?  You can buy "faux" rocks that are much lighter and easier to move in many sizes at Lowe's or Home Depot, and they are also very easily engravable, to where you can do it yourself, and get exactly what you are looking for!

How can I repair a broken garden hose?

If you take it to a large hardware store, they may be able to sell you a replacement connector that clamps on. If you have a hole 10 feet from the end of a 50 foot hose, you could wind up with a 40 foot hose. I did that once, and it was never quite right. My choice would be to buy a new hose.
