Discuss Diane's answer to: What would cause a 5 y/o boy to hit others and bite himself?

4 answers were given and each offered input that gave this worried grandma direction.  His concerned mom is taking him to the dr. tomorrow. With what you told me, I need to tell her of another behavior we didn't recognize as serious, she needs to tell the dr......he will let us hug him...but he just stands there.  Thank you so much for helping me to see what I did not see. diane
