Why do cats stop eating?

Most cats stop eating when they do not feel well.  My cat is 17 years old turning 18 this month.  He has always loved to eat, but now that he is old his intestines do not work as well as they used to and he then begins to suffer with constipation.  In that condition he cannot eat.

The vet gave me a liquid prescription for him.  I use it whenever I see him not being able to have a bowel movement.  Thank God, it's been working.

This is a serious issue, she might be affected with arthritis . Make a visit to a vet and get him properly diagnosed for the cause and also get her treated as soon as possible or your cat can become completely immobile.

When will my newly spade cat stop being in heat?

It might not be a sexual behavior. Cats sometimes lick each other and even mark territory with urine, even after neutering. Bear in mind too that the female cat is a lot younger, so the older cat probably wishes to ascertain seniority (and he should).
