Category: Civil War Political Illustration by J. E. Taylor published in the 1861-1865 time frame

Trying to get background info on a Civil War/ Slavery politically motivated theme illustration made by J. E. Taylor, sometime during the 1861-65 period, depicting Abraham Lincoln with stove-pipe hat in hand  and the outstretch arms of a slave showing  dangling broken chains approaching him. An American Flag appears in the left margin, the Slave's family looking on from the front doorway of their cabin on the right margin  and a civil war battle scene raging in the background. I would appreciate any information on this illustration.  Thank you

There were so many posters and flyers of the American Civil War that we could only contain them in the Confederate Library in Roanoke, VA.  Blues and Grays can still see this colorful era in relics, weapons, and books written by the men and women who lived through it and endured the Reconstruction.

It only matters that we do the right things, for the right reasons. Whoever opposes human rights will always be just another leftist tyrant who must be eliminated for the sake of all that is good.
