How to cast a porcelain relief

Ihave a plaster mold of a relief I sculpted in water-based clay.  Yesterday I poured porcelain slip into it and today I found it (the casting) had cracked.  I had been careful not to have any undercuts.  What can I do to prevent cracking as the slip dries out and shrinks in the mold?
