I'm sorry for what happened josh, actually case like that it is a long span of time to review the accident and patient is needed for that , however your options were correct, if your insurance company denied your claim, then you must contact the second party and called their insurance for damaging your property, As well as for a lawyer you must contact an accident attorney not just ordinary lawyer , they do have a specific field for that.
