Discuss MackTheKnife's answer to: How can I get bright colors from my digital photos?

I miss the days of Kodachrome where my prints all came out in bright, sharp colors. I find today that my digitized photos take on a warmer hue. Is there any way I can get those wonderful Kodak colors ...

Do you mean printed pictures? If so,  find a professional in your area and ask him to recommend a place that will print your pictures according to your specifications.

If you're talking about files on your computer then you should invest in a program that can manipulate pictures. You can digitally enhance your pictures to increase the saturation of the colours and do lots more. I work with Photoshop. It is a bit expensive, but it allows me to do a lot of touching up and improving on my shots. I would also suggest that you use the RAW setting on your camera (assuming it supports RAW format), as it allows you to do a lot of manipulation without sacrificing picture quality. Working on JPEGs you often lose picture quality with each iteration of changes that you make.

Thank you; I suspect that it is probably because I do work in JPEG format.
