In your case, this man is too old for you.  Not all 19 year old women are as sensitive as you are regarding your boyfriend, but because you are extremely sensitive, anyone with a few years more experience than you will be a problem for you.  For you to find happiness in the romance department, you need to be with someone who has had the same amount of experience as you have.  If you honestly want to be with this man, then you need to realize that he is a bit sadistic.  He brings up subjects and talks about things that he knows will "get your goat."  Or "push your buttons"   A man like that is poison to a woman like you.
