Why do I bounce when I walk?

That is a good question.  It can tear your muscle fibers, so it is not good for you.  It doesn't seem to be a common symptom, so probably you will have to go to a doctor to find out the reason.  Sorry I can't be more help, but at least I am not making jokes at your expense.

Many athletes do a bounce in their walk when they warm up. It's a great stretching exercise. Try it to extreme and go high on yout tip-toes with your arm stretched high. Do this for about 20 paces and feel the stretch in the calves. It's a natural walk for you. Watch others as they walk. You will see all sorts of variety.
