Discuss Bonestructure's answer to: Does blood insulin level matter in diabetes?

Yep, if it gets too high and your blood sugar gets too low. You walk a fine line as a diabetic. One must keep one's blood sugar within healthy limits. Too high and really bad things happen. Too low and really really bad things happen even faster. What controls that is the insulin you inject and the meds you take. In diabetes, your body fails to produce insulin. Blood sugar goes out of whack. It's a serious disease that people take much too lightly. It's tried to kill me three times so far, and damn near succeeded once. If you have diabetes, learn as much as you can about it. The more you know, the healthier you can keep yourself.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.
