Answers

Blog carnivals are basically collections of posts from a variety of different bloggers, often published on a weekly basis.

How it works is like this:

  1. A blogger who writes about cats, for example, sets up a "Carnival of Cats"
  2. Other cat bloggers are invited to submit their own posts or posts by other cat bloggers for inclusion in the carnival
  3. The Carnival can be floating, which is to say that every week a different cat blogger hosts the carnival on his/her blog
Carnivals are good for giving bloggers exposure, either through the posts they submit to the carnival or by hosting the carnival
