Are they like spots on skin like a liver spot? Is it like a bump or birth mark or look like a scab ? This can be most anything from normal skin mark to a growth. Please watch and if it grows or is a concern now, take to a vet. My dog had one little "bump" that grew in to a small tumor that had to be removed. Vet did the surgery and doggie is fine now. Just don't wait if these spots grow, change color or leak any fluids. I hope this helps and best of luck to you and your pet. Just remember this dog depends on you to make the best decision. You are a "care giver" not just an owner.

Black areas inside kumquat

No, these are mushy areas, same texture as the flesh of the fruit. They occur at the stem end and vary in size from fruit to fruit. Some kumquats don't have any at all. If I saw this in an apple I cut open, I'd know it was a worm inside the apple. Inside the kumquat, I don't recognize any "animal ...
