A letter from my daughter, telling me how she feels about me and thanking me for being her mom.

And a hand drawn card from my BF, expressing his love for me.

Both trump any purchased gift I have ever received.

A brand new Rolls with a beautiful, female chauffeur, and a huge fistfull of C notes in the glove box.

A night filled with love--I got married the day before my birthday (many years ago, but it's as fresh in my mind as if it were yesterday).

Sometimes we put up walls not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.
