We just put our Daughter on the Pill once she got sexually active.. best thing we did she says.. Now a College grad, married with 2 kids.. and you say this isn't right? Put the kids on Birth Control ...
This is a question for each family to make . You cannot keep a person from trying sex or being sexually active. If you can have an open discussion about sex with your child then you are better off than most parents. Your choice was a good one and shows that you are parents and friends with your children The biggest problem seems to be a parent wants to dominate their child. "I'm the parent and you will do as I say". A lot of parents want the answers to be simple ,But the answers come hard a lot of the time and are not easy. That's why you learn as you go,and try to do the best we can as parents.
Well, in a ideal world? Sure.. But based upon how Poorly alot of Parents have done about this subject?
Not so much..
and waiting until AFTER they get pregant? Is not the way to go either..
a for worrying about talking sex with your kids?
thanks to the PC and Internet now?
9 yr olds know more than alot of Parents do..
and here's another that will probably upset you..
If one is on Public Aid/Welfare? They should be required to be on BC.. and be given to them Free ...and constant testing to insure they stay on it..
Some have been raised that is their only way in life.. Get on PA, keep having kids and make more $ in the process..
And how about the Legal and Illegal immigrants ? They come here to Have their kids, they become US Citizens and then Welfare is next.. we deport the parents and we get stuck with the kids..
Costing us taxpayers Billions every yr! Not to mention the Health Insurance issue and costs..
You still want to leave it upto the Parent(s)? Then you're volunteering and are willing to pay more taxes to pay for all those Unwanted Kids and supporting the Mother as well..
Right? Then don't complain when they have to raise taxes..at Local, County, State and Federal levels..and best get everyone else willing to do the same thing..
and if the vast majority (75% or more) are willing to pay more taxes instead? It's OK with me..
There are no hard rules for talking about sex to children. Study the reproductive system and it makes it easier to explain. As you said, there are many references on the internet for the parent and child to study and learn. I know that I have learned a lot about a lot of subjects on the internet some good, some bad. But I have never found knowledge to be a bad thing. One must use whatever means that they have at their disposal to get the right information. Even the Library has reference books available ( the old fashion way). What I'm saying is you have to try, you can not put off the inquisitiveness of a child's mind you just have to do the best you can....
