Heard birds won't drink from sky-blue bird-bath bowls ,how about green colr bowls ?? mr. chas

It's not the color so much as it is the depth perception.

If your bird bath is of a color that makes it seem as though it's a pond (to a small bird), then the bird may avoid it solely due to a mistake in depth perception.

One solution to this is to provide something for the bird to stand on, such as a large flat rock placed in the center of the bird bath.

You could also put decorative gravel or marbles in the bottom of your bird bath, but that necessitates removal every time you need to empty and clean the bath; so a large flat rock is a better choice.

 Mine is green and the birds like it O.K. In the summer it has to be in the shade.
