No, it doesn't change who he is.  He knew for a long time where Bin Laden was and could have done it sooner.  His roots are in Islam and he says he still gets excited with the Muslim "Call to Prayer".  He sympathizes with terrorists because he himself wants our nation changed to socialism.  He didn't grow up in the American culture.  When he was 8, he was subject to Muslim indoctrination in Indonesia.  Both his fathers were Muslim and he himself was Muslim.  He got involved with a church in America because politically he knew no one would vote for him as a socialist Muslim.  He would have been discovered as a fraud in a genuine Christian church, so he went to a church that hated America, but pretended that year after year he didn't notice.  He married a woman who hated America until her husband got to be President.  He's a narcissist who bullies others and has the mainstream press in covering up any of his negatives.  He snaps his fingers and we aren't allowed to use his Muslim middle name.  He's arrogant and his closet friends throughout the years were socialist reformers.  And we are supposed to believe that non of this matters and he rises above it all to make decisions that our forefathers would applaud him for.  Even John Kennedy would be aghast at what kind of man is running this country.  Obama is not just content to run this country ... he'd jump at the chance to run the world, but and even the world is not big enough to hold his ego.
