Will the successful operation of catching osama bin Laden increase Obama's popularity enough to make him president again in 2012?

In the short run it will boost his ratings, but his reelection will depend on the economic situation and who will be running against him.

At present, Obama is under the sword of Damocles.  Damocles' punishment was that he could only issue orders from the throne, and above it dangled a sword hanging by a single human hair.  Damocles' curse was also a blessing: that way he had to think very carefully before he issued orders, and to date, Obama has been the most reckless president in our nation's history.

 

One day that hair will snap.
