big boogie candy bar
I never heard of this candy bar!! when was it around?? the biggest one I can recall is the original Three Musketeers, back in the 1950's...it was considered the biggest around at the time - not counting the 'Big Boogie'--- what kind of candy bar was it? tell me more!!
From my recollection it wasn't the largest candy bar because while the length and width were good size it was relatively thin. It is hard to compare it to any candy bar today but it had some peanuts mixed in a vanilla nugget that broke apart very easy. It was my favorite and I keep loking for this candy bar but haven't seen it for years. I recall it was also sold in the movie theatres. The candy bars sold in most stores presently are not very good (my taste and opinion).
It sure sounds good; peanuts and nougat!!! kind of reminds me of the Payday bar; do you think it's even a little close to the other one? you should try googling the name of the candy bar and see what comes up!!
I too, have looked everywhere for this candy bar. I grew up in Kansas City, Mo., and it was also my favorite. I was at Cracker Barrel for dinner tonight and found a candy bar "Annabelle's "Big Hunk XL - Terrific chewy nougat with peanuts. It is not as good as I remember the Big Boogie being, but it is close - it IS a little chewier. PayDay bar is nothing like the Big Boogie.
