I guess everyones interpretation of the bible is dif... and ppl have kinda updated it according to life the way it is now... but the actual bible does NOT condone fornication or adultry... this means no sexual interaction before marriage or sex with someone else who is married... Here are the 10 commandments from God:))
ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.' TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.' THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.' FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.' FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.' SIX: 'You shall not murder.' SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.' EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.' NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.' TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'
#7) Adultery is sex outside of marriage... could be an affair... or bc your fornicating (not married at all)
10) Though shall not covet thy neighbors wife (you cant lust over other ppls partners (wife/husbands)
Like I said this is the bible... it is what it is... but let your own conscience be your guide... I dont know many ppl who actually follow the bibles views.. but according the original... good luck:))
did you mean anal sex? The bible says that premarital sex is forbidden and it is sinful in God's eyes. If you are guilty of this sin however, don't forget that Jesus came to rescue us all from all sin and you will be made right in God's eyes no matter what you have done through Jesus Christ's blood as long as you believe and accept Jesus as the son of God and his message. :)
and as a reply to the person before me. I know many many people who follow the bible's views. It is right and true. I hope that you can learn to live by God's laws, or at least try. Then, you will find truth, joy, and everlasting life
Ashley> Again I will reiterate... as I stated in my first sentance "Everyone has a dif interpretation of the bible" like for instance... your interpretation that "Jesus came to rescue us all from all sin and you will be made right in God's eyes no matter what you have done through Jesus Christ's blood" this is your interpretation... I agree with Jesus coming and being sacrificed for or sins... however sin according to the bible is to err... to err can be as simple as stubbing you toe... therefore since ppl err or sin all the time without even having the knowledge of doing so... they in fact can be forgiven... however it is my interpretation also that if you knowingly commit a sin such as fornication... Jesus is NOT a safety net and God will not just forgive something you continue to do... actually I believe these sins are reffered to as transgressions against God... and in that case... you absolutely will not be forgiven... but that is my interpretation from the personal knowledge I have by actually reading and studying the bible... I answered a question and I am comfortable with the answer I gave... Thank you for trying to give me uneeded advice and blessings of truth, joy and everlasting life... what you did succeed in doing was validating for me that most ppl do not follow all bible instuction... Thank you:))
please read Romans chapter 7. You will find that is talking about how we cannot keep from sinning. " I have discovered this principle of life- that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God's law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is : In my mind I really want to obey God's law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin". Then he goes on in chapter eight to say "So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus..."
Also.. I think i remember reading in scripture ( I can't think of exactly where it is right now) about how the ONLY unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
I am not trying to have a war about this. I don't think there should be fighting between children of God. We are, in fact, brothers and sisters in Christ. Also, different interpretations of scripture in my eyes is the work of the Holy Spirit. So i am not condemming you for not believing what I do. I hope this can end on good terms instead of bickering back and forth and tearing each other down, which is not what scripture tells us to do. "Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love" Ephesians 4:2
also.. i do agree that you should not think of God as a "safety net"
I think you should try to repent from your sins, but also rest assured that when you do fail and stumble, God loves you enough to forgive
dont think you should have anal sex. thats not how adam and eve started to have sex. its exit not an entry..
