What exactly is mark of the beast? i know it is ...

The marking of the beast,(666).really is symbolic.It basiclymeans anyone who knows who Jesus Christ is, but do not believe, that he is the son of God,who came to take away the sins of the world by dying,and being the greatest sacrifice ever,for our sins.To put it in a simpler way. Who ever is comformed to this world,and not willing to believe,and put their trust in Jesus Christ, has the mark of the beast.Gods number is 7(mark of a true believer of Jesus Christ.) I could go on & on but,if you really want to understand,you have to read the bible. A good place to start is in the book of Mathew.I hope I have answered your guestion,I say all this humblly and I am paraphrasing,so,this is what I understand it to mean.I know when I read my bible,I don't understand alot of it,but if I ask God for wisdom,and believe,he opens my eyes.Sorry for the long letter! "The Apocalypse of St. John the Apostle"  Also called "The Book of Revelations"   Chapter 13  verses 16 & 17   "And it will cause all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, to have a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and it will bring it about that no one may be able to buy or sell, except him who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of its name."

There are many people with many explanations for what this means.  I think you should read the whole thing for yourself and figure out what it means to you. 

As far as I understand,  the mark of the beast is a physical sign on the forehead or right arm, that marks people as worshippers of satan. Supposedly satan will trick people and gain control of commerce (or something) and only pople who worship him will be allowed to trade goods. They will be recognized by the mark on their forehead or arm.

Tahnk-you all for your answer's i think togethere it makes more since. My g-ma tried to teach me as much as possilbe. I was just so young but i never forgot majority of the things she shared w/ me. I know that it is a tracking advice that w/out it you are unable to buy sell or trade and once u except the mark you are no longer among god and his people. My g-ma told me that god will provide food shelter and whatever else, but it just so much more that i feel like i dont know and the bible is a completly different language.Thank-you for taking the time out to explain this to me. You don't need to worry.  Learn everything you can, be a good person, love people as much as you can, and trust that when you stand up to evil and fail, you did the right thing.

The mark of the beast is spoken about at Rev 13:16, 17, & 18. The key is verse 18, there it explains it is man's number, 6 to the third degree, 666, showing how far short and unable to match up to God's number of 7 (heavenly completeness) and that to worship this beast instead of God is seemingly going to be the course of most of mankind. The beasts of Revelation are symbolic of man's governments, and to show our support of them means that we support them through our intellect, serving in their political schemes and wars, thus the mark in our head and hand. But if we truly serve our Creator and His Son, Jesus the King of God's Kingdom (government) we will refuse to show worship to Satan's beastlike governments, thus remaining seperate from the world, of which Satan has control of. (1 John 5:19, Matt 4:6) As an example at  Duet. 11:18, God's people were to have God's Law bound upon their hand and as a frontlet band between their eyes or forehead in a symbolic way. So the mark of the beast is showing support of Satan's system, as opposed to supporting God's Kingdom by Christ Jesus.
